- Muzzle – Turned slightly upward, nice and square, wide under jaw
- Ears – Rose ears
- Teeth – large, strong, and slightly undershot. No visible teeth showing or severe undershot. Disqualification – Overshot and wry jaw
- Eyes – Round – all colors accepted
- Nose – Dark, medium size which lay back between the eyes. Nostrils open and big ropes.
- Body – Thick body, very powerful, heavy bone.
- Neck – Thick, strong, well arched
- Shoulders – Very broad and muscular
- Forelegs – Stout and muscular
- Feet – Thick feet, catlike toes, and heavy high ankles
- Tail – Set low
- Skin – Soft and wrinkled, Coat smooth. Disqualification – Curly, wavy coat
